Harriet Porter, LCSW, BCD


Harriet is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work (BCD).

Harriet had had extensive training in the Enneagram including certification from Loyola University.  She teaches the Enneagram in various settings.    She is the co-director with Antoinette of Transformations: Institute for Psychological and Spiritual Development.

Harriet is a holistic psychotherapist and works in the area of mind-body-spirit integration. She has a private practice in Northbrook, Illinois

She has conducted mind-body classes, meditation, stress management, and prepare for surgery classes in hospital settings.

Harriet has made guided imagery tapes for stress management, preparing for surgery, pain control, forgiving others, forgiving yourself, forgiving your body, yoga form stretching, progressive muscle relaxation, and many more. She customizes tapes based on her clients needs.

She teaches a variety of classes at the Winnetka Women's Exchange and lectures and teaches throughout the Chicago area.


Antoinette Mercier Saunders, Ph.D.


Dr. Saunders is a child clinical psychologist who has been working with children and their families for the past 32 years.

After teaching at the University of Illinois School of Medicine, in 1980 she founded and directed The Capable Kid Counseling Centers. Dr. Saunders co-authored two parenting books, The Stress-Proof Child and Focus on Children.

Antoinette is co-director with Harriet Porter of "Transformations: The Institute for Psychological and Spiritual Development. She has completed the training for spiritual direction through the Institute for Spiritual Companionship which is part of Loyola Universities Pastoral Counseling Dept.

She has also had extensive training in the Enneagram, including certification from Loyola University. She teaches the Enneagram in various settings.

Dr. Saunders is currently working on a number of writing projects including her memoirs,
My Visits with Ted, stories about forming a relationship with a severely emotionally and mentally handicapped teenager. and Are You a Tigger, a Pooh or who? Understanding your personality through the lens of the Enneagram for Teens.

Dr. Saunders is in private practice and lives in the Chicago area with her family.
